Hi -

I am trying to figure out the syntax to add a date range in a control in a report group header. I am not sure if this is possible, but if so, what I need to do is this:

<7/23/01 for the field/group header [edate].

Then if I have multiple groups with different dates, I will create new group headers for those.

Any ideas???

Thanks So Much. Beth

Beth,

Can you post an example of exactly what you want the header to look like??

Hi Cosmo -

Great to hear from you. This is about as close as I can get:

=[edate]<7/23/01

[edate] is a text field.

Thanks Beth

I'm sorry Beth, but I still don't understand. Couldn't you use the criteria in your query, group by that field, and add text to the text box that will appear in your report??

Hi Cosmo-

I could do that but I have 3 groups that I want to report out on in the report - what is your recommendation?

Beth

I don't know, I'd have to see it....Can you e-mail it to me??

Hi - I can't really email it to you as the tables are linked in via ODBC connection (dbase 3).

I am adding the criteria in the query and will probably run 3 separate reports - maybe for the end users convenience, I will put them all together via sub reports.

Thanks for your help.

Beth

Sorry Beth - I guess my brain is more fried than usual....If you can post examples of the data and what you expect the header to look like, maybe I can help.......

Hi Cosmo - No prob. - My brain was fried yesterday and it was horrible.
