i would like to ask if this is possible. i would like to save the date and time printed after i printed the document. im using vfp6.

from help file vfp9

Returns the current date and time as a DateTime value, or creates a year 2000-compliant DateTime value.

DATETIME([nYear, nMonth, nDay [, nHours [, nMinutes [, nSeconds]]]])

1. You would need a table called PrinterInfo where you would keep ID, ReportName, tLastPrinted.

In the report footer or (summary) add a variable called llPrinted with the expression

Code:
* Report Summary band on Exit.
_VFP.SetVar("llPrinted", WEXISTS("Printing..."))

* Program
llPrinted = .F.
Report Form myreport to Printer Prompt Preview
IF llPrinted
   ...
ENDIF

However, it still doesn't guarantee that the report was actually printed, since printer could be out of paper, turned off, etc.

The best way is to ask user's confirmation, if the report was printed properly.
