I am trying to use the date picker control to allow a user to pick a date. The date picker is placed on a user form which I have designed. I want to format the date as dd/mmm/yy dddd. Example: 12/Jun/09 Friday I am getting the following results for each format attempt:

Day = 12 (Friday), Month = June, Year = 2009
dd/mmm/yy dddd => 12/00/09 Friday
dd/mm/yy dddd => 12/00/09 Friday
dd/mmmm/yy dddd => 12/00/09 Friday
mm/dd/yyy dddd => 00/12/09 Friday
mmm/dd/yy dddd => 00/12/09 Friday
mmmm/dd/yy dddd => 00/12/09 Friday

Can anyone explain why it will only display the months as 00? I am currently working in Excel 2003 using the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control, Version 6.0. The format property is set to "3 - dtpCustom."

Try "dd/MMM/yy dddd". I don't know why "mmm" only displays zeros. According to the help text, that should work.

Dave, that fixed it! Thanks alot. I owe you my first born child.
