Hi,

I have got a serious problem (don't we all).
When I import a Access2k table to SQL2k (only 57 records) some data is lost. All records are imported but one field is left empty ocassionately.

The table is as followes:
Table [Opmerkingen]
Fields:
[ISO NR] = text
[Opmerking] = memo

Some values of the field [Opmerking] are gone after importing in SQL2k.
I guess this has something to do with the field type memo?

Any suggestions, please?

Thanks in advance,

Patrick.

Hi,

What is the field datatype you are importing into (where the data is being lost). Are you using Text? or Varchar/Char?

I beleive the issue you are running into is that the memo field from Access will be treated as a binary text field in SQL Server. So if that field is not set with the appropriate datatype, I feel it will not be imported correctly and will not show up as expected.

Thanks
