Hello,
I am new to this forum and I work as a business intelligence reporting consultant. One of our consistent challenges is to author Date Logic for our report record selection using various flavors of SQL-- e.g., month-to-date, previous month, year-to-date when fiscal year is different from calendar year.
It seems rather silly for us to re-invent the wheel every time we start in writing reports once we find out what kind of database our customer is using. Is there a book or online resource I could be pointed to that has good examples and discussions of Date Logic for various flavors of SQL? That would be very helpful!
Thanks, Patrick
