Date Issue- Adds one day

Hi All,

I have a report with date columns.
If a finish date is 10/10/10 12:00AM in report it displays as 10/11/10 That is one day is added since the time is 12:00 AM

Do I need to write a formula so that date displays as 10/10/10 only in reports?

12 Midnight is the first time of a particular day. The last time with any date is 11:59:59. A datetime field like:

10/10/2010 00:00:00 (the equivalent of 10/10/10/ 12:00 AM

...should appear as 10/10/10 if formatted to only show the date.

I formatted the field (rt click and selected date only customize to month/day/year) but finish dates of projects that have time as 12:00 AM still shows the next day

10/10/2010 12:00 AM shows as 10/11/2010.

Pls suggest how to resolve this.

Where are you seeing this field? What report section? Is it a groupname field? Is it a formula? If so, what is the content?

Please also do a little test for me. Go into the field explorer->formula->new and enter the following exactly as shown:

date("10/10/2010 12:00AM")

Then report back withe the results you get when you place this in the report header.
