Hi,
I have a Variable field that I need to set to a Date input in the format of dd/mm/yyyy, so if an end user puts in any other format it displays an error message.

You will need to be more explicit. What interface is the user entering the date through ? SQL*Plus ? Forms ? Some other app ?

Retired (not by choice) Oracle contractor.
