hi guys, can you give me an idea as to how i'd convert a date(January 1, 2012) into this format, example: Quarter1 - 12/13

thanks for any help

[tt]cint(month(date) / 4) + 1[/tt] will give you the quarter. [tt]right(year(date), 2)[/tt] will give you a 2 digit year.

1. By definition, a QUARTER is ONE FOURTH of ONE YEAR.

Your example equated 1/1/2012 as quarter 1, which would imply that the quarter relates specifically to 2012 and has absolutely NOTHING to do with 2013.

So please explain what /13 is supposed to signify?
