date from mm dd yy to dd mm yy

i have a field date that i saved as short date format
in my settings, short date corresponds to mm dd yy
i need to change it to dd mm yy
when i write it on the form, and save it as dd mm yy too.
how can i define that??

Hi

First no matter waht the appearance of the displayed date it is always saved in the same way, so you can forget about how it is saved.

To display it differently use Format(MyDate,"dd/mm/yy&quot, or set the format in the format property of the control to (say) dd/mm/yy.

If you are not in an area which displays its dates in the US mm/dd/yy format you may wish to change you date format settings in windows, but this will affect all applications, not just this access application, so you need to be sure you wish to do that.
