How can I get the timestamp from a file? I want to read dates/time a file was created into a variable using a KORN script.. Thanks for any advice..

You may want to check the following thread.

There is not a command to capture creation date in the UNIX environment.

Dates are always something that will get you no matter what environment you are in.
