I receive date which includes three columns of data:

Expr1 Expr2 Expr3
2004 7 15

Where
Expr1 = Year
Expr2 = Month
Expr3 = Day

Is there a way with a formula to take these data and produce a date in the format

Day/Month/Year

ie 15/7/2004

European format date

Thanks

jp

Try the formula below. Assuming A1, A2, and A3 contain your data.
=A3 & "/" & A2 & "/" & A1

=DATE(A1,B1,C1) in cell

Format is Date(year, Month, Day)

jimmypur,

FYI:

Date/Time values are just NUMBERS, like NOW is 38223.53639 which can be FORMATTED to DISPLAY what you and I perceive as a date or time or both. The Date Value on YOUR box is the same as the Date Value on my box, but I'd wager that your default Date/Time FORMAT is DIFFERENT.

Go with shatch's formula =Date(a1,b1,c1) then change the format to dd/mm/yy or a variation

Format > Cells > custom > type in
dd-mm-yy for 15-07-04
dd-mmm-yy for 15-Jul-04
dd-mm-yyyy for 15-07-2004
