Reports function: Manual crosstab for Support Center to calculate how many calls come per office during any given week. Rows show the Office Name, Column heading is day of week, mon, tues, wed... result is the count of tickets per day, for that office. I'm always just doing Mon-Fri. Parameter is used to pick the dates. I'm doing a manual crosstab because I want to pass some results as a subreport and do some change color formulas.

What I used: Section inserted with a group for the office. The details section has a formula for each day of the week (this is where things are going bad). My goal is to do a group summary for each day, which should give me the count of tickets per day. Instead, the summary gives me a count of tickets for the week. I can't get a proper formula to know I just want the day of the week, starting as per the date picked in the parameter.

This works fine for me if I use the crosstab as it does the Mon-Fri pretty easily when I tell it that Monday =2 for day of week, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use conditional formulas like this:

//{@Monday}:
if dayofweek({table.date}) = 2 then 1

Then insert a summary (sum, NOT count) at the group level. If for some reason you need this in a formula, it would look like:

sum({@Monday},{table.officename})
