Hi!
I am using the dateDiff function to calulate the ages of customer charges in a report. We have a Canadian customer who has noticed that these reports are not working. Their dates are dd/mm/yy, as opposed to the U.S. mm/dd/yy.

Is there any way I can program around this in the Crystal functions? I'd need a way to be sensitive to the default date format of the windows system settings. I am surprised that dateDiff didn't just handle that for me.

Thanks very much!

Datediff has no bearing on Windows date settings (US or other).

It simply adds or subtracts dates.

If you want to change the eventual display of a date you can just right click the date and select format field and format accordingly.

Thanks, I found out that the source of the problem is the VB program GUI, which is not changing its settings to be regional. That develop hasn't figured out to make the GUI controls display and save the date based on the regional settings.

Thanks again,
Meryl
