Date Formatting in DBGrid

Is it possible to format a date field in a DBGrid display?

My Database date field is yyyymmdd and I would like to display in dbgrid column as mm/dd/yyyy. I have formatted SSN numbers and amount fields using .NumericFormat, but can't find a date solution.......?
