Date formatting in CE10 really is quite rubbish!

CE10. I have a report split into two parts. A details section, and a chart section in the Report header.

I have found a way to reset the date format to the imperial format (as used by most of the civilised world) as dd/mm/yyyy. This is then reflected in my cart as such. The dates form the group labels on my chart.

In CR10 this now appears as imperial format. Both in details and in the chart. BUT in CE10, the details section appears in imperial, but the chart group labels appear in the US format (mm/dd/yyyy)!

Any suggestions?
