How can we set the type of date format that is retrieved from a database? I have a form that saves results along with the date to an access database and then a page that quieries the database, all constructed using the Database reults wizard in FP 2000. What I get at the moment is the date AND time. How can I retrieve just the date in a specific format say 7 July 2000 and no time.

You can modify the Access database to handle only date (and not time) information. While the column is Date/Time in nature, you do not have to store/retrive the time details. Look at the FORMAT option in the Table Design mode of your specific column.

To strip time information OUT of a retrieved column using VBScript, look up the Month(), MonthName(), Day(), and Year() routines at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> you can use those formats PRIOR to storing the date. With Access, be sure and enclose your Date/Time values with #'s before they go into the database.
