I'm new to this so bear with me if it's a simple question.
All I'm trying to do is get the date format in an Access columm to be formatted dd/mm/yy. I put this code in the Format of the field properties and it keeps showing up as dd/mm/yyyy. Anything else I should be doing so that I only get the last two numbers of the year?

Thanks

did you try to set the format to "Short Date"? "The greatest risk, is not taking one."

If you use "Short Date" this will apply the "Short Date" setting for your computer, which could be dd/mm/yyyy. If you use dd/mm/yy specifically in the Format box of the field in Table design view this will override the system settings and apply it properly.

Not sure why it isn't working, though. Are you looking at datasheet view or using a control on a form? Have fun!)

I tried the short date and actually changed the date format in the regional settings on the pc just to see if that made any difference. (It didn't)
I'm looking at the datasheet design view in the table and cannot figure out why this isn't working!
I've just tried it in Excel and it works fine.
Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
