I'm creating an automated import and would like to use a .txt file so I can create specs. (The original was in excel, but the file can be saved as a .txt instead of an .xls)

When I do my import, one of my date/time fields errors during the import. The data comes from Oracle Discoverer and I have set the date field to be MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS AM.

In order to make this work, do I need to make sure I mirror what the Access Date Formats are? This field must have the time included.

Or is there another solution? I prefer to use the .txt because is exports out of Discoverer much quicker AND I can save a step by using Import Specs. The user could change the order of the data, and I have to have an additional import table to catch this possibility if it's in Excel.

Thanks,
Carie
