Hi,

It's me again....

'fmDD Month, yyyy' - tried this one and it works :
my output is like this ...
01-JAN-03 = it became 1 January, 2003

how about the format like this ...
1 Jan, 2003 , can it be done... what format mask will I use to format the date (data type : date) to like this ...
1 Jan, 2003

Thanks ... but I tried this :'fmDD Mon, yyyy' , and it didn't work,
the output is like this 01 Aug, 2002,
what I want is 1 Aug, 2002

Thats strange. I typed this on our database today

SELECT To_Char(SYSDATE - 21,'fmdd Mon, yyyy') FROM dual;

and it gave me

1 Jan, 2003
 
yes i know but ... what I need is a date-data type

i want to put it in a format mask(property) of my field (DATE)-this is from the database the data type is date.

i hope you can help me.
