Date Difference with time !!

Hi

I`m trying to fond a way to calculate how much a person get paid per hour when he submits the following infos:
Start date & time like 21/05/2002 20:00
End date & time like 22/05/2002 03:00
the difference should be 7 hours and multiply this by the amount he get paid per hour , of course this a simple example but if the he puts like 21/5/2002 20:48 and end date 30/05/2002 03:23 ?!!

I`ve done this in javascript but i can`t seem to figure out how to do it in PHP.

Another way to put this the person puts in only the following example , start time 21:34 end time 04:23 , how can i get the difference in both situations!!!

One way: convert everything to a seconds count, do the subtraction, then convert that number to a number of hours.

Take a look at strtotime():
