Date difference in CR5

What sort of difference, days?
You can try: {table.date1} - {table.date2}
I can't even recall if you can use UFLs in CR 5, or if one exists for the datediff function, try searching (I did a cursory look without success).I found a dateadd:
CR 5 must be 10 years old by now, so expect lots of hurdles for otherwise standard functionality in todays world.
