Hi any help would be appreciated, i have created a workbook that uses Microsoft Date and Time Picker however, this workbook has been placed on a server for several people to use. When the workbook is opened and the command button to open the form is pressed i get an error message. when i look at the form the Date and Time picker control is missing.

Any Ideas

The Date and Time Picker control as far as I know, only ships with VB or with the Developers edition of Office. So users who do not have one of those products installed probably do not have the control (MSCOMCT2.OCX) on their systems. You will need to copy the file to their system directory and register the control with

regsvr32 MSCOMCT2.OCX

acron,
thanks for that, when you say register it what exactly do you mean

In order for an ActiveX control to be used it must be registered on the target system, by having it's Class Id and other details recorded in the registry.

Each system should have an executable file called Regsvr32.exe, which can be used to register controls etc.

In your case copy a file called MSCOMCT2.OCX to each system and then run the following command in an MSDOS window

Regsvr32 MSCOMCT2.OCX

Hopefully you will get a message to say the operation was succesful and the control should be available to your application.
