My restaurant uses a Micros 8700 POS system. Until three months ago, our credit card transactions were sent to a couple of external modems which connected to our phone line. For the last three months we have using Datawire Micronode 960AS. These boxes are supposed to allow you to route your credit card transactions over the internet. Well, these boxes have been a nightmare. Everytime we get busy they crash and "No answer" messages appear on the Micros screens. Has anyone else used these Datawire boxes and have they had these problems? I'm at my wits end.
