Datawindow text

HI,

My problem is that if I want to display a long string on the datawindow in a text field it always truncate it after a length ( I would guess it is 256 char?) ..
My question is, can it be extended to display the whole long string? I couldn't find any option for this.

What version of PowerBuilder are you using. It could even be something like your connect statement.

I have PB 8.0.3

I had this issue with PB 6.5 and 9.0. My text datatype was defaulted to 4K using MS SQL Server 2000 as the backend database. I've setup the db profile to be 32K and also set the script in the pfc_login even in my application manager as follows:

SQLCA.dbParm = DBTextLimit = '32000'

This seemed to get around my 4k text limits. HTH - Mike
