Hello, I am new to PowerBuilder 12.6. Years ago I programmed if PB6.5 but this is so different.
Why would a datawindow object not get the latest changes that were made to a query? the steps I am taking is I open the datawindow object, click on Design > Data Source. The query displays with the changes. Return the datawindow painter but I do not see the changes from the query. I have tried regenerating but I must be missing something.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Changing the query does not change the visual portion of a datawindow object. If you have added a new column, for example, you would need to add it to the visual portion if that is what you want to see.

Thank you for your quick reply Matt,
That is the problem, I am not seeing the added column when I try to insert column in the datawindow object.
It seems like I cannot refresh the datawindow object with the changes made to the data source.

So in the database painter you choose 'Design' then 'Data source' then add a column to the SQL statement, save, and do not see the new column under the 'Column Specification' tab?

The added column does not appear. Yet if I create a new datawindow object, use the same data source, all columns are displayed.
