Datasheet view in access 2000 Query sometimes doesn't work

I have a problem with an access 2000 installation.
The table is a linked table to SQL server. When I enter a date in the query criteria the datasheet view doesn't work anymore. The button gets pressed but that's all that happens. When I remove the date from the criteria, the datasheet view button works again.
Same database on another machine gives no problem.
I repaired the installation, but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

Problem solved now.
Creating a blank db and importing all objects in it did the trick.
