When viewing data in a datasheet view of a form, you have the flexibility moving columns, resizing columns, hiding columns, sorting etc. If you print this datasheet there are no options for report headers or footers, because it is not a report. Is there a way of selecting what columns you want and sorting the records the way you want, and then sending that to a report? Thanks.

Sorry if you took it the wrong way but the answer is correct as it could be, unless you expected a detailed tutorial on report building.

You stated you could build a form and building a report is much the same.

If you are concerned about building a report just use one of the various wizards, they work well & are simple to use. Once you do a couple & investigate the results in both design & preview modes you will soon pick up on what's going on, especially as you already build forms.

If you have a specific problem with reports myself & others are willing to help with a specific answer.

Hi Warwick...my post was probably unclear. I will try to rephrase the question. Is there a way to give the user the flexibilty of the datasheet...and then on-the-fly so to speak send that information to a report. The report would look like and contain the same data that the user ended up with when done manipulating the datasheet. By just printing the datasheet you have no options for other info like headers and footers. Is it possible to create a report whos structure changes based on what a user does to a datasheet. I hope this is a little clearer. Thanks.
