Hello, I have 5 operator consoles and one is not sharing the updates of the ODBC. When the other 4 consoles add a new user the change is saw instantly. The one that is not working doesn't show the folders or the people added by the other consoles. I have checked the ---> Open Data Sources (ODBC): c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe and went through the step on that particular console and everything is as it should be and the configurations mirror the other consoles yet no changes are seen from that console or too that console. The console is mapped to the group network and I can see the shared folders. I have tried everything except for uninstalling which I'm trying to avoid except as a last resort.

I did use to know a few customers who used Datapulse consoles. I've never worked on them, but I do have a zip copy 259 megs of the "IPAttendantConsole-Intuition-5.0.0.3" software. Looking at the installation package, it mentions SQL and I was wondering if this might have any effect on the console that isn't working.

If you need the software, then let me know via the link below.

Thanks FirebirdScrambler I did check the SQL settings via the SQL manager for each console and all the processes are started and sharing is enabled I'm stumped as to why this one isn't working. The only reason they haven't noticed is because they were not using the ODBC database within the intuition 1000 to input records but an excel spreadsheet.

Hello Terry

I'm guessing that you have looked at comparing the computers for other differences such as updates, patching, Java and other wonderful things?.

These problems are always a pain to solve. Has any of the user accounts been changed for admin rights etc?. It will probably end up being something silly that is the cause of the fault.

Looking through our old documents:

FOLDERS AND LOCATIONS – PERMISSIONS (FULL CONTROL) SET AGAINST THE ‘METTONI’ FOLDER AND SUBFOLDERS:
“C:\Program Files\Mettoni”
“C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mettoni”

SYSTEM REGISTRY – PERMISSIONS SET TO EACH KEY AND SUB KEYS ALLOWING FOR READ AND WRITE ACCESS.
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DATAPULSE”
“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ SOFTWARE\DATAPULSE”

Has the Licence key for the software been done if the 45 day grace has expired.

FIREWALL PORTS TO BE OPENED

o 137 UDP – Net BIOS Name Service
o 138 UDP – Net BIOS Datagram Service
o 139 TCP – Net BIOS Session Service
o UDP Ports both to and From the gateway starting at 5000 up to 65535
o 1433 – Microsoft SQL Database System
o 80 – HTTP
o 10000 – RTP
o 10001 – RTP
o 3500 – Control
o 3389 – Terminal Services

In the program folder you can run the ConfigWizard and check the setup of the SQL etc. and like you mention confirm the settings for the DSN in ODBC, and test the data source in ODBC.

@FirebirdScrambler...yes, I did the good ole stare and compare and I mean all their settings match. I sent an email to datapulse and they suggested that it is a services issue that is all they could tell me without a renewal of the maintenance contract and the client isn't in a hurry to do that. I checked the SQL services and ensured that sharing was enabled on their network all check out. I agree it will probably be something silly I checked rights of each console it seems they all have admin rights also.

@bignose21 I will go through your port checklist and ensure they are open as far as the license key go I think it may have if the client let the maintenance contract expire I would guess the keys have. I did the ODBC test a couple of times and passed both times but won't hurt to give it another try.

For Full registration in UK or steps were:

From the Windows Start Menu go to All Programs, Datapulse and select Registration.

If you then generate code, this unique key should then be emailed to keycodes@datapulse.com so that an activation key can be obtained so to validate and use the Intuition solution. To confirm receipt of email and to track where Datapulse are in the registration process please call or email Datapulse Support +44 (0) 870 442 4427 or support@datapulse.com

Note: Do not close the Intuition registration window prior to obtaining the activation key and activating the product otherwise the unique generation key will be will be lost and you will have to repeat the process again. Please copy and paste the keycode (20 digit alphanumeric string of text) into an email or document as it’s easier to build the authorization code based on this process thus removing any chance of input error.
