I am brand new to SQL Server and using V 7.0. We had a discussion today and i was TOTALLY LOSTS. Could someone explain how to implement a DataMart and DataCubes. (Not code, but just a general idea).
Thanks.

Have a look in the 'Data Management: Data warehousing general discussion' and 'Data Management: OLAP' forums for discussions on what they are.
This is a relevant SQL Server question because Microsoft have added 'OLAP Services' to SS7 - it is a very quick, easy and cheap way to get started with DataCubes, etc. which are essentially a way to give users a flexible way to analyse data in a database.

That's a great suggestion! In case you are to install OLAP Services as part of your MS SQL Server 7.0, the tutorial is very helpful and concise. It runs you through the creation of the cubes and uses a "Foodmart" database for your cube creation. Check it out!
