Hi all! Hopefully someone will have a good suggestion for me... I currently am displaying records from a database into a non-editable datagrid. I am looking to change this around, to let one of the columns be editable. The only thing is, I would like that column to be a drop-down box with values from another table in the database. Is there any way I can do this with a datagrid? If not, is there any other control I can use in order to get this functionality? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Doug

Unfortunately, another good thread deleted, where I had gone into alot of detail concerning this.

But, here is another one...just not explained in detail

Hi, I already got this problem with some customers, and most of the time I try to 'sold' them another solution which is easier to program.

Instead of put the combo in the datagrid, I prefer put a combo at the bottom or the top of the datagrid but fully independant of the datagrid.
You link the combo with your adocontrol and the kind of magic is done : the same functionality, just not the same place.
And if your customer wants to enter the same value to many row, add the multiselect propertie to your datagrid and do update manualy and it's done....

You'll see, the way kills many problem...

Thanks again CCLint... I gave you a star in your other thread too... This was most helpful in what I needed to do!

Cheers! [/b][/i][/u][sub]*******************************************************
