Hello, we are using Crystal Reports 11 release 2, SQL server 2005.

Over the weekend my IT department decided to move our accounting database from one server to another, as such all of our Crystal Enteprise reports failed.

I've been remapping all of the original reports and the republishing them.

I am having issues with the reports that use OLE DB connectivitiy. I created the new connections using database|database expert|create new connection. We are using integrated security. Tested the connection and receieved the Test completed successfully message. I then mapped the reports to the new connection via Database|Set Datasource connection.

Two of these reports use a stored procedure, one of these reports is directly to the tables <ya bad I know>. Each one ran without issues after being mapped. I saved the reports, then published them to Crystal Enteprise <v10> and scheduled them to be emailed.

Ran a test run and each report received an error indicating incorrect logins. I double checked with my networking crew to make sure that all permissions had been duplicated when they moved the data. Then I ran the published reports from the report server directory. The Connectivity had to be remapped. It was not saving the information.

I went back to the original reports and tried to run the again. I kept getting prompted for server/database connectivity information. The server fields/database are always coming back empty. But the connections still exist in the database expert and they show correctly mapped.

What or Why are these connections not saving with the reports? Please note, I am not being prompted for a login, I am being prompted for everything, server/database etc.

Thank you

Julie

Are you using Enterprise, or just Crystal Reports? I thought i heard that if you want to make a permanent change to a report you had to access from the workbench, make the chagnes, then "re-Deploy it back to wherever it came from. Simply changing it won't actually do anyting , other than run it from the new DB locale once. The other thing to try is to go to Database, on te toolbar and go down to "Set datasource location", then map everything over, which Crystal shoudl do for you, as long as your IT guys didn't change anything else for you.

Let me know if that works.
