I am a refugee of four years of VB development. I have always wanted to spend some time with C and C++ but...

Any way, does anyone have an opinion on the use of a thing called "DB Library for C" vs. "Embedded SQL for C"?

I am aware of the differences in how each is used by the programmer.

My question is, which one is the best to use in terms of functionality, flexibility, and perhaps ease. Amiel

It sounds like you're referring to an API or a class of APIs provided by one or more database vendors. It would help if you could be more specific. There are many different database vendors, which one(s) are you looking at?

O.K., there is lesson number one; I'd forgotten how non-platform specific the C language is...

Yes, the API is provided by Microsoft, and is specific to SQL Server.

I guess these questions might be better suited for another forum.
