I have several databases that I created in Access 2007 with an entension accdb. How can I open the databases in an older version of Access with a mdb extension?

You can either rename them with an mdb extension or associate the accdb extension with the Microsoft Access Application.

The problem that I am having is that when I click on the Access file is say Unrecognized database format. I am thinking that I will have to open the file on my PC at home and then resave the file in a mdb format so that I can open it in older version of Access. Your thoughts?

yes. You can not just rename the file. They are different formats.

So I would have to open it on my home PC since that is the PC I used to create the database?
