I'm using access 2000.

I have unchecked the 'show database' option in the start up menu but for some reason the database window continues to show when I reopen the database. 1. I would really like to know why this function is being 'ignored', or is someone able to show me how to 'set the database window to noshow using vba code' please?

Thanks for any help you can offer

If you 're-open' the database from the file list on the file menu, without closing Access, you will bypass the startup options.

To Hide the database window using code, run:
Docmd.SelectObject acTable, , True
Docmd.RunCommand acCmdWindowHide
