I had sql 2005 with SP 3 and then installed Reporting Services after. In the configuration tool, I created a new database, then it asked if I wanted to update it. Clicked yes and received "database version (C.0.8.40) does not match your RS installation.

Through many articles, recommended to run rsconfig:

rsconfig -c -s servername\instancename -d reportserver -a windows -u domain\acccount -p password

When I ran that I receive an error "No reporting services instance found on local host."

I have the virtual directories on the local default site, the database was created, the RS services exist with the instance name.

Any thoughts? I barely use RS but have to have it running for CRM.
