Database Updation problem

I am new to TOMCAT. The gurus out there help me in sorting this problem.

I have deplyoed my application perfectly and pointed the dsn name correctly. I am able to access previously stored data from my database (MSAccess) via the webpages I created.
However, when I try to update the tables in the database I am not able to do it.

Do I have to do something in WEB.XML file and Server.xml file?
If so, how can I do that?

or is it that the problem is entirely due to different reasons?

Please help me.
