Database update runs for 3 hours after daily backup

ACRSERV 6.5 NT ENT build 600
Is there a way to speed up the database update? Back up runs 3.5 to 6 hours with 9 sessions. The update of the database takes an additional 3 hours.

This build 600 is unsupported.
Use support.cai.com to choose Arcserve product and download patches.
HOW BIG IS THE DATABASE?
If NOT SQL then MAX DB SIZE is 1 GB.
More than 1 GB then database is corrupt.
