It's been a while since I've dealt with Notes.

We need to replace the design of our room reservation from R5 to R8
We have this clustered across two servers.

If we update on serverA, will the design be replicated across to serverB ?

thanks in advance

I only ask stupid questions because I'm thick

It would indeed be best to only update design on one server, especially if clustered.

Just change the template name of the reservation database on its home server, and update design. Since they are clustered, the other database should be updated within seconds of finishing the first.

If, after a few minutes, the database design has not been updated on the other replica copy, then initiate a replication of the reservation database.

Whatever you do, do not attempt to update design on both copies.

Remember also that any specific modifications made to tailor the reservation db to your company's needs will need to be redone before the design update - else results will either be you lose the modifications, or the reservation db will be a very unfunny mess to clean up.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
