Hello, I was wondering if anyone was aware of how to enable database specific functions in Impromptu. I have one version of Impromptu installed on another server that has the following functions...

or_dayname
or_dayofweek
or_ltrim
or_monthname
or_months-between
or_next_day
or_replace
or_rtrim
or_soundex
or_substr
or_trim
or_translate
or_uid

The problem is that when I bring reports over to my machine from that server any report that uses one of these functions turns to (new expression). Is there an .ini or something that I need to play with or something. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

with your installation , if you have installed the documentation , you should have "How to create User-defined function" filename= hwtcrudfs.pdf
In CER3 install , it goes in menu Documentation/Tools/User defined functions
Everything is explained

Mark,

All of the functions listed are Oracle-specific. If the other computer does not have the Oracle client installed, these functions do not appear and cannot be used.
