I created a database with two tabels for my business cards. About 2 days ago I emailed to my house and it was about 5 megs. I added about 3 forms the next day and I was going to email it to my house again but it had increased to 21 megs. What have I done? One table has company information (about 500 companies and the sales person table 800+ names). Any ideas and help appreciated.

Access databases get bloated when they are modified. You need to compact it, and it will shrink dramatically. Open the database in Access, from the menu select Tools/Database Utilities/Compact and Repair Database, and all should be well.

PCCP is correct.

Also, remember you'll have to open the database for exclusive use to compact it. There's a check box on the "Open Database" box that opens it exclusively.

Thanks again for the information. I am trying to learn as I go.
Thanks

One other question, how often do I need to do this?
