Database Setup on windows 8 64bit, MsSQL2008, Sage 300 2012 1

i have installed Sage 300 2012 on a laptop that is running on windows 8.

i did the database setup, but when i open accpac i dont see the companies that i would have created.

has anyone seen this before,

your help is highly appreciated

Is there an error like "there are no installed organizations"?
Which PU for 2012?
Do you follow the instructions to install to a non-default folder?
Is UAC turned off?
