I am new to Warehousing in that we have been mostly OLTP and speed is of benefit. Is there anyone who can help give recommendations to the setup of a database that will contain 3,000,000 rows of Data Approx 550 bytes. Should I use table partitioning, how should I use it. What about disk setup. Does 5-10 disk in mirror and stripe setup on a Unix machine sound reasonable? Any guesses on SGA setup, how much buffer cahce and shared pool do you think it needs?
