We have 2 SQL 2000 databases on 2 different servers located at 2 different sites. Thes databases replicate between eachother. I recently installed SQL SP3 on the one database server which we use for testing, the other SQL database does not have any service packs installed. Since i installed the service pack on the ONE SQL server the databases no longer replicate - would the SP cause this, any ideas on how to resolve.

Thanks.

yes it could. There are some very large scripts that are run upgrading to sp3 relating to repliation. i wouldnt be suprised if it breaks replication.

Our database that has not yet been updated to sp3 cannot even connect to the database that we have updated,(connect through sql server that is). What would be the best resolution - upgrade the other database to sp3? Can i apply sp3 without rebooting the operating system?
