hello,
I'm newb on sharepoint, I installed Sharepoint portal server 2003 & windows sharepoint & I'm able to connect to e exisiting database on (SQL), using window sharepoint where with portal 2003, I get the following error.
"Unable to connect to the configuration database. Ensure that the database server is online and that the configuration database exists. If the configuration database administration account password recently changed or expired, see the Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Administrator's Guide for instructions on how to update the password. If the configuration database or database server is permanently unavailable, click Disconnect from configuration database."
In window sharepoint I'm able to change the database information, whereas in sharepoint portal I'm unable todo so....everything is gray out, any suggestions.
