I have an Access database named CRBII. Usually when I open it, a menu box pops up that says: CRBII:Database and all of the Objects (tables, queries, forms, reports, etc.) are available to click on and view and then see in design view, etc. For some reason now when I double click on the CRBII database, that option box does not come up. I guess maybe I pressed something to hide this window but I don't know how to bring it back!

Another problem I noticed is that when I go to FILE, then DATABASE PROPERTIES, I get an error message saying this: "Microsoft Access is unable to load the database properties"

So now I can't get into the database at all and I have no idea why. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT I DID??

Hi,

Have you tried holding down the <Shift> key at the same time as you try to open the db?

I just tried it and it did not work. It's like the database is gone.

A several of things...
- First, you keep backups, right. Important databases should be backed up regularly, less important ones should be backed once in a while.

- Does anyone besides yourself access the database? If so, ask them if anything happened?

- Does the database use a front end / back end? (Data stored in one database, usually on a server - back end; Forms, reports, modules stored on another database, sometimes on the local computer(s) - front end. The Front end links to the backend tables.) If some one moved the backend, then it could play havic with your data until you relink your tables.

- Have you tried Compact and Repair.
