Database Pointers

hi,

i need to point my connection to other databases in other folder, this is due to i have backup my database and stored in another folder. Now i have to retrive back the previous customer's records. I believe i need to control the name of the database inside the control panel - ODBC. Guide me to the most efficient way in doing this please.
