Question:

When I did a restore yesterday, I was logged in as a user with sysadmin privileges. In checking the database properties today, I see that the owner is my login.

Should I change this to sa?

Thanks

You can set the owner to sa if you would like. There is no need to change the account.

Is there ever any risk in changing the database owner to 'sa' ???

Just wondering...

Yes, but this is rare. Some vendor created databases require a specific database owner, ususually set when their application/software creates the database.
