Hello everyone.

I just want to know , in public news sites(like BBC,CNN or... ) do programmers use database to save news title, news body and other contents or they just write any news in a different page and save page's id in database?

Regards.

the database is just a technical detail. I would believe the developers of the major sites are more concerned with a rich domain model rather than a database driven website.

with the focus on a domain the data is persisted/retrieved from repository objects. the repositories may talk to a database, web service, indexing file (like lucene.net), or in memory storage.
