I'm trying to find out how I can from dB "A" get the total number of Database Objects in dB "B". I have to collect some stats on a lot of databases and I'm trying to find a way to automate this process. Any help would be appreciated. I know how to get "A's" when I'm in "A", I just don't know how to get "B's" when I'm in "A". Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I couldn't think of a better way to ask.

Thanks for all the help.

Well, you could use DAO or ADO to remotely connect to database B, so that you could query MSysObjects and return the results to a recordset or querydef. Or, less elegeant but much easier, you could just attach the MSysObjects table from B into A and then query it directly. [pc2]

Thanks mp9. So If I get the total number records in that file, it will give me the total number of Objects in that database? And that is the number that I can compare against Access's limit?
