Any ideas why our database did not start/open automatically. We are using windows 2000 server, when i examined the oraclestart and oracleservice services it already started automatically. But, upon connecting to our database using the internal user, an oracle not available message would appear.

What seems to be the problem. Any ideas please on how to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Lemmor

well Unix is easier but :
oradim does it all on NT, try without parameters and look at the options.
I have some strange problems using oradim and specifying path to init.ora file. So watch out and look carefull, ( read : dont use production environment for test create 1 instance more and get familiar with oradim )
I believe there is some notices on metalink regarding this.
regards
SteenB
